We have an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Team Lead & Surgical First Assistant with Orthopedic Spinal Surgery experience to join a Private Boutique Private Hospital in London. You will be delivering world class surgical care, demonstrating leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence.Hours: Permanent full time, 37.5 per week, Monday to Saturday, 07:00am-15:00pm & 13:00pm-21:00pm.Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert clinical assistance during a wide range of orthopaedic and spinal surgical procedures, including but not limited to: Elective orthopaedic procedures such as joint replacements (e.g., hip, knee, shoulder), Laparoscopic orthopaedic surgeries, Revisions of joints, and Major spine surgeries.
* Act as the Surgical First Assistant, demonstrating advanced surgical skills and proficiency in complex orthopaedic-spinal techniques.
* Able to assist across multiple surgical specialties, such as Gynecology, General Surgery, and Urology.
* Lead and coordinate the theatre team during surgeries, fostering effective communication and collaboration among team members.
* Utilise strong organisational skills to prioritise workload and manage resources efficiently, ensuring the smooth running of surgical services.
* Document all relevant information accurately and participate in quality improvement initiatives to uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.Who are we looking for?
* Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current registration.
* Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of UK-based experience working at a senior level, with a proven track record of excellence in clinical practice and leadership.
* Extensive experience in a perioperative setting, focusing on orthopaedic and spinal surgery.
* Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (SFA).
* Demonstrated expertise in surgical techniques, instrument handling, and tissue manipulation relevant to orthopaedic-spinal surgery.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Benefits:
