Job Title:Theatre PractitionerLocation: Southwark, LondonType: PermanentShift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday - FridaySalary: £49,181 - £60,000 per annum + shift allowanceSanctuary Personnel are seeking a skilled Theatre Practitioner to join our client's Theatres team at a prestigious London-based healthcare facility, currently acclaimed as "Outstanding" by the CQC. Situated within the hospital network, our theatres offer a dynamic and professional environment equipped with cutting-edge technology and equipment.The private care division boasts four Operating Theatres delivering a diverse range of surgeries, including Robotics, Urology, and Gynaecology. With state-of-the-art DaVinci Surgical Systems and an expansive facility encompassing 49 patient bedrooms and four Level 3 ICU beds, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care across a spectrum of acute and complex cases.The successful candidate will become an integral part of our client's esteemed theatre team, comprised of experienced professionals committed to excellence. At the hospital, they foster career growth and development, offering support and opportunities for advancement.Reporting to the Theatre Manager, you will lead a team of Anaesthetic practitioners, collaborating closely with scrub and recovery colleagues. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in operating theatres, demonstrating expertise in perioperative patient care and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices and procedures. Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, along with experience in supervising multidisciplinary teams to deliver superior patient care.Key Requirements:
Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) with experience in Robotics (Da Vinci)Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g. nurse or ODP) with a relevant honours degreeRecent experience in theatre nursingDesirable: 18 months of experience in a similar autonomous roleAptitude for clinical and operative practiceEffective management skills to oversee daily clinical operations and forward planning
