About the Role:

I am seeking a passionate and dedicated Textiles Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Kirklees. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, fostering a love for textiles and creative arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive textiles lessons to students at various levels.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets educational standards and stimulates students' creativity.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching textiles or a related subject at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of textiles techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students with diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
