Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a Testing and Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, testing, and commissioning of Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) in various construction projects. You will work closely with the mechanical installation team to ensure the BMUs are fully operational and compliant with industry standards and client requirements.
This is a full-time position and will work at our clients sites across London and the UK.
Key tasks :
Conducting comprehensive testing and commissioning activities on Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) following mechanical installation.
Collaborating with the project team to develop testing procedures and schedules.
Performing functional tests, safety checks, and quality inspections on BMUs to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or deficiencies identified during testing and commissioning.
Providing technical support and guidance to the installation team regarding BMU operation and maintenance.
Documenting test results, commissioning reports, and relevant documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient testing and commissioning processes.
Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the testing and commissioning phase.
Competencies & Qualifications:
Electrical and or PLC training and experience.
Proven experience in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, preferably in the façade access industry.
Familiarity with Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) and their components is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in relevant software applications and technical tools used for testing and commissioning activities.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction sites.
