TEST & DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Opportunity to join a fast-paced, market leading technology business developing solutions for a dynamic global customer base. As part of a multi-disciplined R&D team the Test & Development Engineer will play an important role in developing testing solutions, prototypes and demonstration units within a regulated framework.
What you’ll be doing:
• Develop test strategies for new and existing products including hardware, software, mechanical, EMC, environmental etc.
• Create supporting documentation in line with internal, customer and regulatory requirements
• Design fixtures, test jigs, harnesses and enclosures for testing.
• Use of software such as LabVIEW for simulation and testing
• Liaise with R&D team an provide input into to DfM and DfT considerations
• Manage external test vendors
Experience you will bring to the role:
• Developing electro-mechanical prototypes
• Devising test routines using LabVIEW
• Development of test procedures, jigs, fixtures etc. in a highly regulated environment
• In depth knowledge of NPI and product development life-cycle
• Hands on bench and electronic lab skills including the build of electronic / electro-mechanical prototypes, jigs, fixtures, enclosures, use of meters, oscilloscopes etc.
• Relevant electronic / electrical / engineering qualification
• Writing detailed reporting, work instructions, schematics, etc
