Test Analyst

Test Analyst (Oracle implementation experience is desirable)
Initially 12 months FTC (paying up to £45K PA)
Hybrid (Travel required to the client's Croydon office, 3 days a week)
We are seeking a Test Analyst to join our client's team and ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions for an Education company based in East Croydon. This role will be instrumental in testing Oracle-based applications and systems to support critical business processes and initiatives.
You will provide test capability within newly formed Oracle Support Team. Utilising analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate system, process and data changes to ensure they are free from defects, meet user needs and create an efficient end-user experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Write comprehensive test scripts and create and maintain test data within test environments as required.
Analyse the results of testing to determine the root causes of any failures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design to ensure testing plans and scripts are fit for purpose.
Ensure all User Acceptance Testing meets user’s objectives and success factors, supporting users execute testing as needed.
Document and track all defects, errors and issues identified during testing.
Ensure that all tested changes meet the specified standards and end-user requirements.
Assist in the design and development of automated testing scripts.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in test analyst roles with sound knowledge of testing techniques.
Strong knowledge of writing test cases and scripts.
Ability to design and execute reusable test procedures, cases and scripts.
Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
Ability to acquire business knowledge of various functional components within Oracle.
Demonstrated ability to work independently within a project/support team environment.
Ideally knowledge of complex ERP Solutions such as Oracle, SAP etc and/or experience working with Finance and HR solutions.
