Manual Test Analyst – 12 month FTC

Manuel Test Analyst required by a leading charity to work on a range of exciting projects.

As a Manual Test Analyst you will join a small team of 6 who contribute to the delivery of the vision by joining the QA Team and forming part of the testing and quality assurance function across almost 500 IT systems.

Day-to-day, you will report to the Senior Test Analyst, following the Test and Quality Assurance Strategy and actively participate and contribute to a wide portfolio of projects, with a variety of exciting things to get stuck into such as app testing, system testing and user acceptance testing. There will be plenty of exciting projects to get stuck into, no day will look the same and you could see yourself working between 1-6 systems each week!

Roles and responsibilities of the Test Analyst will include:

Design, plan, create and execute scripts based on system/user requirements for all testing activities
Provide an in-depth understanding of the different test phases, from start to finish
Effectively and accurately translate acceptance criteria into technical and functional test scripts
Defect management, control and dashboard reporting
Liaise and support individual business teams to ensure that end user acceptance testing is undertaken in line with the project test plan
To be considered, you will have/be:

At least two years’ experience working in a Test Analyst role actively participating in several projects
Experience in planning, developing and executing manual test scripts
ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing Certified
Knowledge of test tools such as Microsoft Test Manager, JIRA, Quality Centre, Azure DevOps but there is flexibility on this
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Exposure to automation testing is a bonus, however not essential
As well as the above technical skills, you must also be an excellent communicator, collaborate and inquisitive and able to work independently as well as within a team.

This well-respected charity can offer a fantastic work/life balance with lots of flexibility to work remotely. You will visit the Swindon office at least once a week to get face-time with your team, collaborate on projects as well as share knowledge. There will also be the opportunity to work across some outstanding remote locations therefore you must hold a valid UK driving license.

In return, you can expect a salary of up to £36,726 plus an excellent matched pension contribution up to a maximum of 10%. Please note, this is a 12 month fixed-term contract with a strong possibility of going permanent.
