Job Description
We are working on an excellent opportunity for an energetic self-starter with a track record of success in surgical sales to join our client as a Territory Manager across the Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland regions. Our client is in a phase of expansion and growth, so this is an incredible opportunity to join a collaborative team and a forward-thinking organisation as they look to dominate the minimally invasive surgical space!
The company
We’re working on behalf of a rapidly growing, international medical device company. With a product portfolio ranging from urology to general surgery, ENT to obstetrics, they specialise in surgical technologies for minimally invasive surgeries and are known for having a fantastic reputation in the market and offering an excellent training programme and company culture.
The role
As a Territory Manager, you’ll arrange and travel to your appointments with surgeons in various hospitals and clinics to implement the use of our client’s products. Following a 7-week training program, you’ll be well-equipped to engage in peer-level conversations with surgeons and nurses in the operational theatre.
Other responsibilities include:
Creating effective business plans and approach strategies
Demonstrating the use of our client’s products to surgeons, staff, and nurse
Attending orientation, education, and scrub sessions
Working closely with the Customer Service team on tenders, quotations, and samples
Being an active member during company meetings and product training
Organising and attending conferences
The requirements
You’ll have 2+ years of experience in medical sales in hospitals (ideally surgical) with a proven track record of success, as well as…
Degree Educated in a relevant discipline
Comfortable in an operating room environment
Demonstrable experience building strong interpersonal relationships with key clinical individuals
Experience in managing accounts from prospecting through to implementation
Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
High organised and able to prioritise effectively
Positive, driven and results-orientated
Flexible and willing to travel across parts of the country when required
Requires you to live across Newcastle
