Job Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Salary: £24,655 - £26,896.80 (Term Time Only)

Purpose of the Role:

The Deputy Manager will work under the direction of the Pre-School Manager, deputising in their absence, and supporting the aims and objectives of our establishment. The role involves ensuring the provision of high standards of childcare and education, maintaining a safe and caring environment, and leading a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities:

* Support the Pre-School Manager in the day-to-day operations and deputize when necessary.

* Promote the aims and objectives of the pre-school to parents, staff, and visitors.

* Assist in the organization and implementation of high-quality childcare and educational programs.

* Provide individual attention and group activities that support the emotional, social, and educational development of children.

* Direct and support staff, ensuring good practice and high standards of care.

* Assist with administrative tasks, including registration, place allocation, and monitoring child development.

* Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.

* Support team members in identifying and intervening for children with special needs.

* Liaise with parents, family members, and outside agencies to meet children's needs.

* Assist in staff development, training, and supervision of students on placement.

* Ensure confidentiality and professional integrity in all interactions.

Requirements:

* Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).

* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a childcare setting.

* Strong understanding of child development and early years frameworks.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to lead and motivate a team.

* High standards of health, safety, and hygiene practices.
