Tendering Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical
Remote / Hybrid – Up to £45k salary + Private Medical + Bonus
Candidate can be based: Newcastle / Leeds / Sheffield / Bristol / Liverpool / Glasgow / Cardiff
Our client is a leading provider of mechanical and electrical engineering services across a number of different industrial environments. £10m turnover with nearly 100 people working across offices throughout the UK.
Projects are typically the M&E aspect within a wider scope of works from things like water works to flood alleviation to rollercoasters to bridges to huge plants making popular food and drink products to cars.
As a Tendering Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of shaping bid submissions, weaving costs with narratives that showcase the extent of the company’s expertise, innovation, and dedication to utilising innovative engineering to solve complex engineering challenges.
Your background in Engineering will be essential in pulling together information from different people and craft compelling proposals that captivate their clients, helping secure M&E projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Tendering Engineer:
Familiarity with technical design and installation documents such as drawings, specifications, and standards.
Develop a thorough understanding of technical aspect of bids and an understanding of the scope of works.
Work with suppliers for quotations
Prepare and review project cost estimates for internal design and installation labour, materials and specialist contractors
Liaise with internal engineering teams regarding commercial & contractual issues/queries.
Edit and proofread bid documents for accuracy, consistency, messaging and branding
Respond to PQQs / RFIs
Ideal Candidate:
We are more interested in your background than qualifications. The ideal candidate will have come from an M&E background.
2+ years of experience
