JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role Hours: 37 hours per weekWorkbase: CarlisleContract: Fixed Term until 31 March 2025About this opportunityWe are seeking to recruit a full time fixed term Tenancy Sustainment Officer (up to 31 Marc#####25) to work across the Carlisle locality, as part of a wider integrated response to preventing homelessness and ending rough sleeping.The role will be varied and rewarding, requiring excellent communication skills to engage appropriately with vulnerable adults who often have a variety of complex needs and rehousing challenges.The role requires the successful applicant to be out in the community visiting and supporting people off the streets in to their own homes; building a rapport to encourage long-term change and enable sustainable housing and tenancy management. If you are super organised with excellent communication skills and like a varied role, we'd love to hear from you.The successful candidate must have experience of outreach/community-based working with homeless & / or other socially excluded people or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and ability within their current role. Experience of working in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies in a customer-focused environment in the housing sector or related field would be advantageous.You must have the ability to travel efficiently around the Carlisle locality area to conduct home visits and attend meetings.
