Job DescriptionProcurement Manager – Telco | £60,000 to £75,000 + Car allowance, 20% bonus, healthcare & benefits | London or Manchester | 8 days a month | Large Technology based Consumer Energy Business |We are thrilled to be supporting on an exciting campaign for a Technology based, Consumer Energy business, who are going through a large transformation across the procurement team, increasing headcount and changing their approach of procurement to a more strategically aligned, forward thinking function.For this position in the team, we are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with extensive Telecoms category experience, where main areas of focus will be managing large value, complex Telecoms projects, so candidates need a clear focus on this area of spend.Some ideal traits of experience; Energy, Technology, Financial Services or Regulated industry experience, strategy and category management, senior stakeholder engagement, understanding and awareness of supplier ESG/CSR and for someone who wants to join a business who are on a journey to make the UK as close to Carbon Net Zero as they can.Role and responsibilities:· Manage full end to end procurement process, within designated spend areas using a strategic approach· Working with the senior business leads, to develop category strategies and category planning· Engage with Directors and C-suite, on projects, adopt a proactive approach and support them on significant value projects· Continuous advice to the your stakeholders on market trends, new innovations and knowledge of the supplier market· Utilise sourcing and SRM strategies, to ensure the business is aligned to Sustainability, ESG and general group procurement governance· Be able to manage and understand both regulated and un-regulated complex projects· Ensure in parallel to strategic procurement, ensuring best commercial value for the businessExperience required:· Strong and proven, strategic category management in a business of similar industry· Show that you have delivered significant savings, in a large and complex business· Extensive experience in Telecoms· Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Board Level· Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationship· Analytical mindset and have strong communication skills to present ideas to the business· Worked in a large and cross-functional procurement team· MCIPS qualification nice to have, but not essential
