Tekla Detailer / Draughtsperson

Job description

Tekla Detailer / Draughtsperson required for an established manufacturing company based in Cardiff.  

The candidate will be working in a small drawing office working on a range of projects including steel bridges, stairs, lift shafts, walkways, slipways, flood defence gates, piling platforms and many more different fabrications.  

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing innovative company which will give the successful candidate the chance to progress their career within the Engineering industry.  

Technician Overview:  

• Interpret Engineer’s drawings.  

• Work on a variety of projects primarily within the rail sector.  

• Raise & interpret TQ's.  

• Produce GA's, assembly and part drawings.  

• Produce bolt lists.

Requirements:

The candidate will ideally have experience of Network Rail standards (but not essential) and be proficient in Tekla solutions having worked in a similar role within a drawing office for a minimum 5 years. The ideal candidate will also have a basic knowledge of AutoCAD.  

Technician Position Requirements  

• At least 5 years’ experience within a drawing office.  

• Basic AutoCAD experience.  

• 3D Modelling experience preferably using Tekla Structures software.  

• Good understanding of steel grades.  

• Strong communication & organisational skills.
