The Plant and Soil Sciences Department operates across three sites (Edinburgh, Oatridge and Glasgow). The department undertakes research across a wide area, ranging from molecular analysis to glasshouse and field scale experiments. Staff deliver teaching onto courses in Agriculture, Biosciences, Soil science andHorticulture and plantsmanship. The vertical farm facility will be used for research and also to teach students modern plant production techniques.
The Opportunity:
We are looking to appoint a Technician who will be responsible for the new vertical farm unit being built at Kings Buildings. This includes the day to day running of the unit and the successful completion of research and education projects in the unit.
