Located in Milton Keynes, the centre is home to the Group’s training operations, developing our base of 26,000 retailer learners in the UK. Calex is the supplier of learning services, working in partnership with Volkswagen Group UK.The roleWhen Technicians require the latest training and technology updates, it’s our Technical Trainers that provide them with what they need. Whether it’s from the minute learners walk through the door of the National Learning Centre or logging into their Virtual Classroom live in their Retailer, trainers deliver the skills and knowledge required technicians to do their job to the best of their ability, inspiring them to be the best they can be.We are looking for trainers to:deliver core technical and project-based training programmes, via a range of mediums including attended classroom and workshop sessions, virtual classroom, and film / live broadcastsdevelop new materials for the delivery of new Model Launch courses as well as keeping current material up to dateAttend Volkswagen Factory branded events and Products LaunchesAbout YouOur ideal Technical Trainer will:hold a relevant technical qualification such as City and Guilds 1,2,3 or a National crafts certificatehave a good level of technical knowledge in particular around vehicle electrics and vehicle diagnosishave an embedded passion for the automotive industryhave the ability to manage their own timebe engaging and inspiringtake their own learning journey to higher levelsget involved with the teamuse their skills and knowledge to elevate training deliveryadapt to fast paced changesbe an all-round personwant to make a difference and provide a great learner experiencebe able to commute daily to Milton KeynesIf, like us, you are passionate and strongly believe in elevating a learners experience to help drive and impact personal and business performance, we want to hear from you.To apply, please provide an up to date copy of your CV.Salary & Benefits£37,000 if you are new to training with an increase on the successful completion of probation.Upto £39,270 for Service TrainerUpto £40,290 for Diagnostic TrainerUpto £42,000 for Senior TrainerUpto £43,860 for Master TrainerExperienced trainers will be aligned to the appropriate level from day one.Plus a car allowance of £328.50 per month (£3,942 per year).In addition, we will invest up to £10,000 (for new technical trainers) in your personal development within the first 18 months of employment, to include:- Certificate in Training Delivery- Certificate in Online Facilitation- Certificate in Facilitation- Factory (brand specific) Accreditation Induction- Health & Safety Training- IMI Assessor Accreditation25 Days Paid Annual Leave. Calex are a specialist automotive training provider and provide training staff and expertise including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators to Volkswagen Group UK. The successful candidate will join an established team, at the VWG National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.Place of WorkVWG National Learning Centre (NLC), Wymbush, Milton Keynes. There will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations such as (but not limited to) Calex offices, alternative VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role, including international training venues in Germany, Spain or the Czech Republic. The NLC is a modern training facility with an onsite restaurant serving a choice of three different hot meals each day, it also benefits from an onsite deli bar and Starbucks café.The NLC offers free onsite parking for delegates and staff.
