Technical Team Lead

Up to �70k DOE

London Based 3/4 days per week in the office

Role Summary: The Technical Team Lead oversees a team of engineers, ensuring the successful completion of infrastructure projects and day-to-day management of infrastructure assets in line with company objectives. This role involves technical mentorship, project management, and collaboration with other departments. The Technical Team Lead also plays a vital role in managing routine tasks, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Manage infrastructure equipment, projects, and tasks to meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Cultivate a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with other department leads to align project objectives with business goals.
  • Allocate tasks based on project needs and individual strengths.
  • Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance team capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise for IT change and project work.
  • Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures to high standards.
  • Test and install new products and enhancements.
  • Ensure timely responses in accordance with service contracts.
  • Test and maintain failover and backup systems.
  • Apply security clearance/restrictions for user access to company resources.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Azure, Meraki, Linux, Windows Server, and CCTV technologies.
  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and ITIL methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Proactive approach to challenges and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10 years of IT industry experience, with at least 3 years in leadership.
  • Optional: Certifications in project management, leadership, or relevant technologies.
