Gi Pro are seeking an experienced technical surveyor to play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure and development of the local community.
The Role:
As an experienced Technical Surveyor, you will:

• Provide technical construction expertise to facilitate the delivery of construction projects and the maintenance of assets.
• Be responsible for construction and property matters for the property portfolio, built infrastructure, flood defence and drainage works including the management of works to meet the Climate Emergency Action Plan, working with the Construction Project Manager.
• Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, option studies, cost appraisals and analysis of project proposals for a range of property and infrastructure assets and specifically in relation to options to meet the Climate Emergency Action Plan.
• Assist in the preparation of technical briefs for the employment of specialist design and other consultants, including architects, engineers, surveyors, project managers, principal designers etc.
• Inspect, monitor and supervise construction works being carried out.
• Organise, appoint, manage and supervise the employment of consultants and contractors, in accordance with procedures, for the design and execution of projects and works included in agreed programmes, within the parameters of time and budgets specified.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, standing orders and financial regulations, health and safety as it applies to works under the control of the post holder and any other regulations as they apply.
• Participate in the 24-hour response rota by being on-call standby at specific times.

The Person:
To be considered for the position of Technical Surveyor you will have:

• Sound general education to 'A' level standard
• Appropriate BTEC Higher Certificate, Degree or equivalent professional training.
• To speak fluent English and have a command of spoken English that is sufficient to enable the effective performance of the role. This will be measured during the interview process.
• Minimum 2 years working in a technical construction environment.
• Extensive experience in preparing contract specifications, procurement and supervision of projects.
• Experience of appointing and working with consultants
• Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines and budget
• Practical knowledge of construction techniques and methodologies
• Good knowledge of all laws as they relate to building maintenance and construction.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
• Ability to provide technical guidance to the Maintenance Team.
