Job Title: Technical Support Officer

Contract Type: Temporary

Contract Length: 3 months

Hourly rate: £16 PAYE (umbrella options available)

Our client, a leading organisation in Fleet Management, is seeking a motivated Technical Support Officer to join their team East London. As part of their team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality technical support to ensure the smooth operation of their Transport Administration Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the maintenance of vehicle accident damage and incident records.
Resolve supplier and customer issues in a polite and efficient manner, such as late payment of invoices.
Liaise with customers to ensure the provision of replacement vehicles from fleet resources or external hire companies when required.
Support the Fleet Support Manager with the computerised fuel monitoring system.
Run the Transport Reception desk, handling customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
Manage the transport vehicle pool and hire fleet to optimise utilisation.
Coordinate with internal customers, commercial hire companies, and contractors for vehicle and plant spot hire and other services.
Maintain comprehensive vehicle records, both manually and computerised, to comply with legal requirements.
Assist with filing statutory documents and perform other clerical duties as needed.
Coordinate service visits with suppliers of workshop equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:

Hold a current Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport Operations (CPC) and a valid clean driving licence.
Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office tools, especially Access, Excel, and Word.
Familiarity with vehicle fleet management systems is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to vehicle technicians.
Conflict resolution skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
Numeracy and literacy skills for reviewing financial data and administrative tasks.
