Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join their team based in Northampton. You will provide technical assistance and support for perimeter protection solutions.As the new Technical Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of our client's systems, as well as delivering exceptional service to their clients.Your responsibilities as the new Technical Support Engineer:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for technical enquiries and support requests related to perimeter protection solutions for solar plants.
* Provide remote troubleshooting and diagnostic assistance to clients experiencing technical issues or system malfunctions.
* Conduct thorough analysis and root cause identification of technical problems, working closely with clients to resolve issues in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and sales, to address technical challenges and implement solutions.
* Assist with the installation, configuration, and commissioning of perimeter protection systems at client sites as needed.
* Develop and diligently maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation relating to existing and newly onboarded systems.
* False Alarm Management of remotely monitored CCTV systems.
* Performance review of remotely monitored CCTV systems and reporting areas of improvement to the wider team and clients.
* To attend sites to carry out small works and preventative service visits.Your experience and skills as the new Technical Support Engineer:
* 3+ years of experience in technical support or engineering role, preferably in the field of security systems or industrial automation.
* Strong understanding of electronic systems, network infrastructure, and software applications.
* Experience of perimeter protection systems, CCTV, access control, or related security technologies is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support…and getting things right, first time.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to travel to customer sites for on-site service, support and installations, and flexibility to work out of hours / stay away from home if required.What you can achieve:
