TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER- Mechanical Engineering

Our enormous�leading manufacturer of engineered solutions provide commercial and industrial systems that improve worker and equipment productivity, minimise energy use and benefit human health and the environment. Due to growth we are currently on the lookout for a Desk based Support Engineer who would handle quotations as well as being the support required for customers and engineers and sales staff thoughout the UK.

You could be a Mechanical Engineering graduate with some experience or have similiar experience of working as a sales support or sales engineer in another industry provided that you have the desire and Technical know how to learn a new product that encompasses Mechanical Engineering principles inclouding sheet metal and fabrication.

The role is based in East Lancashire working 830-5 mon to thursday with an early finish on Fridays.

Principle Accountabilities:�������������

Internal quotation tool equipment selection/ sizing support/ ATEX & Machinery Directive compliance

Internal quotation tool custom item pricing

Internal quotation tool support for external sales

RFQ tender documentation support

Internal quotation tool training for new starters (external sales)

Joint sales enquiry visit supports (when applicable)

Actively updating internal quotation tool prices based on actual costs

Maintain the explosion protection approved supplier & equipment list(s)

Maintain and update supplier quotes to support the Internal quotation tool

Support aftermarket with existing equipment and ATEX upgrades

This position offers a career into further developing within this niche industry into an External Engineer or into Sales or further development within support.

Salary is 30-35k and is based oin experience and relevance to the role.
