Technical Specialist – South UK / Hybrid– Diagnostics
About the Company:
We are looking for a scientist with experience in biochemistry and in a commercial/ client facing role to join the sales and marketing team at an expanding diagnostics company at their site in the Northwest. Responsibilities:
Generate profitable revenue for the company whilst aligning with existing objectives and strategies.
Lead customer sales promotion and collaborate with colleagues to propose and develop products for the product range in the UK and International markets.
Drive growth of the product range.
Collaborate with internal departments and providers in order to maximize deliverables.
Act as customer-facing product specialist, regularly providing sales and technical presentations, addressing technical inquiries and troubleshooting. Assist with new account planning and pre-installation site visits, overseeing installations, and offering user training as needed.
Define and support defining the total and addressable value of the market in the UK and Ireland.
Assist with tender applications.
Maintain technical knowledge of products and markets, acting as a key point of contact for internal and external parties.
Assist the Sales team in presenting value propositions to prospects and customers, offering insights and support to drive success.
Coordinate with the sales team to conduct extensive site visits with customers to understand their needs, build relationships and identifying future opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the Product Specialist team to improve support and response times, boost market penetration and drive product and market development strategies.
Compile and analyse market data and proactively communicate significant changes or developments in a timely manner.
Evaluate competitor strengths and weaknesses and develop and report on sales strategies that respond effectively, enhancing competitive differentiation and market positioning.
Keep the commercial team informed of business requirements and major developments within accounts, participating in critical discussions as necessary.
Requirements:
Biochemistry knowledge/background.
Experience running assays for testing biological samples.
Experience working with the NHS.
Commercial acumen.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong presentations skills
Full UK driving license.
