Technical Specialist (Lubrication, Condition Monitoring & Asset Reliability)
Location: Regional Role (Northern England / Scottish Borders)

Your areas of responsibility:

The application of technically advanced products into specialised markets supports the sales of specialist lubricants and solutions, provides higher efficiency, improves reliability, and gives security to the customer/supplier relationship. The management of these products from concept design to product or solution offering, with customer technical support requires inter-disciplinary skills, application or engineering knowledge and experience.

This is a customer-facing technical role providing first-class technical engineering and product support. This important position requires regular collaboration with our commercial sales team. The successful candidate will complement the current Central Technical Department which includes mechanical engineers, chemists and application specialists. This role would involve working closely with the Industrial team comprising of Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Research & Development.

Qualifications we are looking for:

* Qualified Mechanical Engineer / Industrial Chemist / Applications Engineer (or equivalent experience), combined with established industry knowledge.

* Proven experience within one or more of the following sectors; metalworking, oil and gas, sustainable energy, mineral extraction and processing, paper manufacture and food/beverage.

* Experience in a customer-facing engineering role would be beneficial.
