We’re looking for an adaptable technical professional who’s strongly motivated by the opportunity to deliver a technological step change. Meet Mark SymesMy background is in chemistry, and I am seconded to ARIA from the University of Glasgow. I’ve spent the majority of my academic career researching ways to make green fuels to replace fossil fuels. The programme I’m running at ARIA will be a bit of a departure from all of that, so I am looking for someone to help activate the programme's potential, who has deep technical expertise in climate science/engineering (or an allied field) and who shares its vision.Find out more about what Mark is working on here.“To help me drive the programme forward with rigour and scientific robustness, I am looking for someone with deep technical expertise in climate science and/or climate engineering and who shares the programme’s vision.” Mark Symes, Programme DirectorWhat you’ll doThe scope of the role will evolve as ARIA continues to grow, but will broadly involve the following:
