A successful business within the air conditioning market is searching for a Technical Services Manager to join the team in the Shepperton area. With nearly 50 years of history and expertise within the air conditioning sector, this company is able to provide a comprehensive range of solutions to their clients, including maintenance, repairs and installations. The position holder in this role will be a key professional in the delivery of the business' services to their clients, ensuring that the highest quality of service is delivered and providing additional technical advice to the internal teams that support the delivery of services, including Sales, Operations and Engineering.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:Managing and overseeing the activities of the operations team, including taking a hand in their diary managementOverseeing the team of engineers who will be delivering services to clientsProviding technical support to internal teams such as Sales and Engineering, this can include regular check-ins, site visits and maintaining a strong working relationshipSupporting the development of lead engineers in order to ensure that their roles are fulfilled to deliver a high-quality service to clientsSeeking resolutions to technical issues that occur from engineering call-outs, which may include warranty related mattersKeeping an overview of complex and large repair jobs, from inception and acquisition of the order, to when it is completed, ensuring that teams are positioned to execute their activities and that communication is maintainedIdentifying areas for improvement within the team and organising training and skill improvement initiatives with the aim of maximising the capabilities of the teamTaking responsibility for maintaining lists of approved tools, ensuring that information on cost of supply is provided and monitoring compliance with this list across the businessMaking sure all processes are being assigned to the correct teams and that these processes are being followed correctlyWhat you will need to Apply:To be considered for this exciting role, applicants must possess excellent, up to date and relevant air conditioning technical knowledge and have previous experience in a leadership position within an engineering business. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and a proactive approach to their work, with the ability to handle diverse workloads. Experience from a previous similar role is sought after, particularly with demonstrable experience of managing and liaising with multiple functions including operations and sales to deliver high quality services.What you will get in Return:As the successful candidate within this role, you will be able to access a starting salary up to £60,000, depending on your engineering and managerial experience, alongside a peripheral package which includes a generous holiday allocation and pension contribution and a comprehensive program of additional rewards and benefits.
