Technical Services Manager

Our global client has been expanding at a rate over the last few years and Covid hasn’t stopped them.
They are looking for a technical services manager to join their European IT Team in a senior leadership role.
The successful person will need a technical background in the following: –
Infrastructure
Helpdesk (ideally having managed a helpdesk in the past)
Networks
Storage
The emphasis is on team management – you will be a strong leader, be able to upskills your staff, be able to put personal development plans in place and ideally have directly managed teams of c10 people+ in the past.
However, the role will be very diverse in nature.
You will manage vendors, define SLAs and internal KPIs.
You will always be looking at continuous improvement of the infrastructure, team and service delivery.
You will identify and plug gaps in service coverage.
You will do all this whilst also being able to show hands-on, technical expertise across their technology stack which includes: –
Cisco Networking Equipment
Cisco/Dell/EMC Storage
Virtual Servers (ESX/VMWare)
Cloud and Hybrid Data Centres
Telephony (Cisco VOIP)
Security
MS Servers, AD, Exchange, O365
It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: –
A strong technical background
Several years managerial experience (ideally 5+) with the ability to put Personal Development Plans together and upskill
Strong project management skills
A degree or equivalent in a relevant topic
