The shift pattern is0730-2000Radiotherapy PhysicsTechnical Service Manager Radiotherapy Physics 8A (Permanent)Base Beatson Gartnavel General HospitalWe wish to recruit a Technical Services Manager to lead the large team of engineers who provide a repair, maintenance and quality assurance service for the Beatson’s linear accelerators. The role is pivotal in maintaining excellence in the provision of radiotherapy services to the west of Scotland. The Centre operates thirteen Varian linear accelerators, equipped to very high specification such that a variety of highly specialized techniques are available including, SABR VMAT, total body irradiation (TBI), total skin electrons (TSE), many delivered using FFF technology. The successful candidate will be based at Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow but may be required to carry out some duties at the Lanarkshire Beatson satellite centre in Airdrie, Lanarkshire.Proven leadership and management skills with the Radiation Engineering sphere are required. A Degree in Medical Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other relevant discipline is essential.
