Technical Sales Representative, Hull area, £40,000 - £50,000 DOE





Our client is a successful engineering / manufacturing company who are looking to appoint a Technical Sales Representative or Sales Engineer for their well-established facility in the Hull area.





Working within the sales team you will be responsible for discovering and pursuing new sales prospects and maintaining customer satisfaction. The goal is to meet and surpass the company’s expectations to drive rapid and sustainable growth.





Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Representative




  • Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs

  • Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media

  • Setting up meetings with potential clients

  • Preparing and delivering appropriate presentations on products/ services

  • Creating frequent reviews and reports with sales, market and financial data

  • Ensuring the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations

  • Participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences

  • Negotiating/closing deals and handling complaints or objections

  • Assisting internal and external sales in winning new business

  • Providing customer quotations and specifications for standard and specialised designs

  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure that specifications are appropriate, technically feasible and deliverable on time

  • Assisting the production team with planning realistic completion dates in line with the needs of the business and customer





Knowledge, skills and abilities of the Technical Sales Representative






  • Technical / Engineering background preferred

  • Experience within engineering-based manufacturing

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • The ability to identify and follow up on leads
