Our client is a leading provider, manufacturer, and installer of underfloor heating and renewable energy solutions for a wide range of clientele in the commercial & residential sectors. Their products are all bespoke and exclusive to them and have taken a strong hold in the UK renewables & HVAC markets.

They are looking to further their reach nationally and require a Technical Sales Manager to join their experienced team.

As Technical Sales Manager, your primary objective will be to utilise your extensive industry knowledge & expertise to develop new clients, foster and strengthen relationships with existing clients and identify key opportunities in the UK market for product and services.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in underfloor heating systems and/or renewable energy and excellent communication skills to interact with architects, installers, contractors, housebuilders and more. This role offers an enticing opportunity to be a key figure in the growth of an exciting business and presents significant opportunity for progression for the right individual.

This role requires significant amounts of travel, allowing applications to be open to candidates from various areas of the country.

Position Overview - Technical Sales Manager

  • Utilise industry expertise to enhance brand recognition.
  • Formulate and implement regional sales strategies to engage both new and existing clientele
  • Utilise proprietary UFH calculation software to design and generate quotations.
  • Deepen comprehension of customer satisfaction with products, pinpoint areas for enhancement in both product offerings and service delivery, and conceive innovative approaches to expand market share, enhance customer satisfaction, and boost sales.
  • Contribute to the development of product and service portfolio in the Renewable Heating and Domestic Water sectors, outlining and prioritising initiatives based on their impact on both business operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Take the lead in orchestrating product launches within designated regions, collaborating closely with marketing and sales teams to effectively convey messaging and maximise market impact.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in the UK, providing support to technical, operational, and marketing departments.
  • Conduct site visits for project estimation, onsite training, and troubleshooting of mechanical and control-related product issues.

Position Requirements - Technical Sales Manager

  • Mechanical engineering background is a must (renewables/HVAC) with relevant qualifications
  • Proven success in a technical sales role, with a focus on renewables & HVAC
  • Be a self-starter, motivated and happy to work remotely
  • Microsoft office full suite, CAD knowledge is a strong benefit
  • Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
