Technical Sales Engineer – SME Manufacturing – Selling engineering solutions into OEM (Manufacturing)
A fantastic sales role with freedom to offer technical / automation / materials handling and in general, engineering solutions.
Build your own speciality and own customer account base. Negotiable basic salary – Bonus structure % on all sales revenue generated.

An entrepreneurial, new business sales approach is essential – Car allowance or Company car tbc – 33 days holiday.
We like: 4 years plus engineering, business development experience ideally. Hungry, need to earn and grow and superb communication skills.

This is a role for someone who has technical sales experience, engineering solution sales into OEMs.

This isn’t a role for someone expecting a corporate environment, structure, or tonnes of training. This is a role for an experienced field sales, business development manager with experience in Automation – head count reduction – materials handling – engineering sales solutions.

The platform and tools to excel in the role are set, the SME has a superb track record and a growing automation team and growth plans to reach 25million.

The Role & Candidate :

* To open new doors, sell engineering solutions to manufacturing organisations.

* To manage and execute the engineering project solution from start to finish.

* To manage, retain and develop business / revenue within the OEM account.

* To report to the Sales Director twice per week with pipeline updates and a face-to-face sales meeting at least twice a month at HQ.

* Build a pipeline through existing contacts, your own business development, and a few existing smaller accounts.

* 90% New business sales (Although this will become a quicker start if you have contacts and a track record)

* Managing the full sales cycle from start to finish generating revenue between £5,000 and £250,000 (or more – no limit)

* Sales Cycle can be shorter depending on needs and solutions but can be 3 months to 12 months.

* This is a business development Field Sales role for a Technical Sales Engineer – ideally with an engineering qualification.

* You will have a passion for sales and engineering solutions.

* We are looking for 4 – 10 years new business sales experience with strong synergy with the routes to market and product / solution offering.

* You will be organised, honest, transparent and an excellent communicator.

* We are looking for drive and hunger and a need to earn. Someone organised and mentally agile. Fluid. Adaptable and fast paced.

Basic salary and package levels:

* £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary (less experience but hungry and motivated with 2-4 years)

* £46,000 - £50,000 basic salary (More experience and really good technical synergy with solutions and customers)

* £50,000 - £60,000 basic salary (Will be able to approach existing (black book) contacts from day 1 – Hit the ground running.

* BONUS structure to be discussed depending on level, technical knowledge, vertical markets and experience

* 25 days holiday plus all BH

* Car or Allowance to be discussed with the Sales Director depending on the successful candidates.
