A world leading manufacturing company is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Technical Sales Engineer to support their robust global growth. This role will be pivotal across Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of mechanical engineering practices. Experience in engineering design would be a plus, and a formal qualification such as HNC or HND would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize engineering expertise to identify and address customers' needs, understanding both technical and budgetary requirements to specify the optimal solution.
Recognize new application opportunities through in-depth customer interactions and needs assessments.
Daily Tasks:

  • Deliver technical product presentations and demonstrations tailored to customer requirements
  • Visit customers and prospects to discuss technical applications
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Identify and interpret customer requirements effectively
  • Persuade clients that our product best fits their needs
  • Write technical reports and prepare quotes
  • Record and maintain customer information and data in the CRM system
  • Negotiate price, delivery, and terms
  • Provide after-sales support
  • Research new industries for potential clients
  • Prepare quarterly sales reports and sales action plans
  • Ensure sales targets are met
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events as needed
