We are looking for a Technical Retoucher

Based in the Croydon area.

Job Summary: As a Technical Retoucher, you will ensure all imagery for artworks is technically correct for the print process. Collaborating with Design and Artwork teams, you will set up imagery efficiently to avoid rework. Your expertise in min & max dot, spot color channels (DCS), and various print processes, along with a passion for retouching and exceptional attention to detail, are essential. You will manage your workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced studio.

Responsibilities:

Manage new US retouching work and assist with EU creative work.

Improve color profile processes with the Global Production Director.

Produce creative, accurate images to tight deadlines and within budget.

Ensure imagery meets printer profiles and print process specifications.

Create spot colour channels) as needed.

Use GMG proofing devices for color accuracy.

Handle product imagery, retouching, and comping.

Perform color correction and create natural-looking images.

Manage a high volume of work, ensuring all brief requirements are met.

Liaise with account managers on image details.

Maintain high standards for file construction.

Support repro responsibilities and PQM process when needed.

Identify software solutions for technical retouching.

Establish technical proofing for the international team.

Skills and Qualifications:

3+ years of technical retouch experience.

FMCG packaging retouch experience.

Passion for retouching and imagery.

Experience in comping ingredients and desktop colour separation (DCS).

Understanding of min and max dot and print processes.

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Creative Suite and MAC.

Knowledge of colour work, correction, and print impacts on images.

Portfolio showcasing quality retouching and complex color work.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Knowledge of digital photography is advantageous.

Experience with mid dot% and printer ink limitations is a plus.
