Technical Project Manager Electronics

Our UK Ministry of Defence partner seeks an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a team developing innovative solutions to meet complex customer requirements. You'll gain expertise in navigation sensor hardware and its conventional and cutting-edge technologies.

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the growth of a team and lead multi-national research programs involving UK-wide and European travel. They will guide the Navigation Sensor team in the development and evaluation of navigation sensors, including inertial and satellite navigation equipment.

What we're looking for:

• Demonstrated proficiency in the complete life cycle of electronic system development, right from conceptualization to production.
• Possess a strong background in intricate engineering industries, with a preference for experience in the aerospace or defence sector.
• Demonstrating expertise in managing and delivering complex technical work packages while adhering to design gates and established processes.
• Experience in delivery, cost control and supplier performance
• Technical management background in a complex engineering industry
• Ability to lead and manage teams, suppliers, and projects
• Highly organised and process-driven individual
• Confident and assertive with the ability to influence change.
• Knowledge and understanding of electronics, RF, and component packaging would be beneficial.
• Appreciation of system design & integration challenges
• Experience with sound systems engineering practices

More about the role:

For more than 70 years, our client has been in a strong partnership with the UK military. They have accomplished numerous milestones in defence engineering and have provided essential defence capabilities to meet the requirements of the armed forces across land, sea, and air.

This role is based at their headquarters site in Stevenage which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
