Salary: £30,296 - £33,945 (City Pay Band 4)

The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our front-line team to work on a variety of large-scaled toured events; including theatre and dance shows, rock gigs, comedy shows, classical concerts and corporate events.
As the duty technician you will be responsible for a team of people rigging and taking down large- scale productions so you will need to be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. With previous experience of working with industry professionals you will be adept at operating lighting
and sound systems to a precise standard.
In addition, you will have experience of event management software so programming, operating and troubleshooting digital sound desks and lighting systems for performances will be second nature to you.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have experience of working to budgets and will possess excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal. You will have knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications and be able to demonstrate your ICT skills.
Use of Midas Pro Series Mixing Console, L Acoustics Line Array, Chamysys lighting consoles would be advantageous.
You’ll need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role and the service and will be expected to be available to work on a rota basis that will include evenings, late nights and weekends. For working during these periods, pay enhancements will be applicable in line with the Council’s pay policy.

Hours:
This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.
Working Pattern:
On a rota basis which will include evening, late night and weekend working.
