Calling all fire safety superstars! A leading North East fire engineering consultancy is seeking a passionate Technical Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced fire engineer to lead projects, mentor colleagues, and make a significant impact on fire safety practices. Are you the fire engineering guru they need?

In this role, you'll:

  • Lead and manage a team of fire engineers, ensuring efficient project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on complex fire safety issues, mitigating risk and ensuring building compliance.
  • Take ownership of fire engineering projects, from initial design to completion, overseeing quality and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a robust fire engineering strategy, aligning with building regulations and industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest fire engineering technologies and legislation, continuously improving fire safety practices.
  • Mentor and develop the skills of your team, fostering a culture of excellence in fire safety.
  • Contribute to business development by showcasing your expertise and building strong client relationships.

To excel in this role, you'll possess:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a fire engineer in the construction industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a specialization in fire engineering is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety legislation, building regulations, and relevant fire design codes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • A collaborative and results-oriented approach, with a passion for fire safety.
