Technical Managerc£40,000k - £50,000k + Company Benefits.Greater ManchesterAn up-and-coming family run food manufacturing business are looking to expand further, incorporating a Technical Manager into the team to drive standards across the site.OverviewThe role is with a food business producing products to major retailers. As Technical Manager the ideal candidate is a hands-on, factory-focused food professional. The role would suit a tried-and-tested Technical Manager, or a QA Supervisor / Assistant Quality Manager who is ready for a step up.Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Managing Director the Site Technical Manager's duties will include:
* Managing the day-to-day activities of the technical team on site.
* Ensuring the HACCP system is adhered to and managing site audit schedules to ensure compliance.
* Liaising with customers on quality issues and co-ordinating customer visits / audits.
* Proactively communicating information to the business on technical performance.
* Managing training of the QA team and technical training of site colleagues.Candidate Profile
* HACCP Level 4 and Food Safety Level 4 preferred but not essential.
* Proven track record in quality in UK food manufacturing
* A working knowledge of BRC
* A strong QA background.
