Job Title: Technical ManagerLocation: Stonehouse, GL10Salary: £50k DOEContract: Permanentgap-personnel are currently recruiting for a permanent contract for one of the multinational companies in Stonehouse. They are leading distributor for food manufactures around the globe, and recently moved to the area GL10.Ideal candidate for this role will have good experience coming along with contactable references.Must also have a strong background in Dairy Processing or Similar Food Manufacturing and Food Safety, with a deep understanding of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) chilled food sector.Main Duties and responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all technical aspects of our dairy production process from raw materials, processing and finished goods to our customers.
* Lead a team that includes a Quality Assurance Advisor, an onsite laboratory team and sanitation team.
* Ensure compliance with all food safety standards, including HACCP, BRC and local food standards authorities.
* Develop and implement quality control protocols and food safety measures for the manufacturing site and third-party logistics operator.
* Collaborate with Production, engineering and logistics departments to optimize production processes and food safety.
* Stay updated with latest trends and advancements in food science and chilled food FMCG operations.
* Train staff on new technology and protocols related to food science and food safety.
* Ensure all quality management systems and document control processes are up to date.
* Handle any technical issues that arise swiftly and professionally.
* Corroborate all quality processes and systems comply with internal company standards linking with European head office and international requirementsSkills and qualifications required:
* Degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, or related field.
* Proven experience in a technical management role within the dairy industry or similar chilled food sector.
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and other food safety regulations.
* Experience in the FMCG sector.
* Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
