We are a specialist magnet manufacturing organisation seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in a Technical Position. This role offers the opportunity for temporary employment with the potential for a permanent position. Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
Profit share bonus scheme.
Yearly salary reviews with an average increase of 4% over the last three years
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries, both internally and externally.
Provide technical support for sales and purchasing activities.
Offer hands-on technical support for assembly and magnetizing operations.
Support quality activities, including R&D reports and serving as the point of contact for quality queries.
Engage directly with customers and suppliers, utilizing our CRM system and maintaining relationships.
Provide accurate costings and conduct visits to customers and suppliers, both domestic and international.
Conduct CAD activities, including 3D and 2D work (training provided).
Perform Finite Element Modelling (FEM) activities using 'EM Works' SolidWorks plug-in magnetic modelling software.
Reverse engineer customer-supplied products, providing engineering support and generating necessary documentation.
Requirements:
Experience in the magnet industry preferred.
Strong background in physics and/or electronics.
Basic understanding of engineering principles and CAD software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
