Technical Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Technical Manager to join an award-winning residential developer, well known for their landmark schemes.Situated in areas of regeneration in the capital, the role will be site based on the last phase of this zone 1 scheme before moving onto a new 600 unit, high-rise scheme nearby.Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, the primary functions of the role will be to manage the external design team and delivery of technical information on this phase from inception to completion. Specific responsibilities will also include:Deliver the project in accordance with the business forecast and budgetEnsure compliance with Technical Department processes, procedures and reportingAdhere to Group Health and Safety standardsProvide support to all other project team departments to deliver projects on time, safely and within budgetTo manage and process the regular consultant Technical payments, preparing approval forms ready for the Senior Technical manager approvalBuild and maintain effective networks both internally and externally to form mutually beneficial relationshipsManage and check all documentation required by the Sales and Marketing team ensuring consumer code complianceThe ideal candidate will have integrity, can think creatively and have an excellent eye to detail. They will need to take ownership and responsibility for the design team.Suitable applicants will be motivated and methodical individuals and could either be currently working as a Senior Technical Coordinator looking to take the next step in their career or an existing Technical Manager who has managed complex schemes as well as managed small teams.Experience of residential planning is essential as well as the proactive management of external design consultants. You must be self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and posses a strong work ethic. You must have detailed knowledge of Building Regulations, and strong project administration and organisational skills.
