Role Overview:
Our chilled foods site at Rogerstone Park is the largest within of our Meals Solutions division, employing around 1600 people, and producing a huge range of premium quality ready meals for major retail customers.
It's a huge, complex site offer plenty of challenge and variety and this is a great opportunity to join our Technical team.
Reporting to the Head of Technical, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading two QA Managers and teams of QA Technicians, ensuring all food safety, customer, and quality standards are maintained within the high care areas of the site.
Motivating and developing your team, by being visible in the factory, leading by example and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring.
As the 'go to' person for technical matters, working closely with other managers and teams across the site to ensure technical integrity and best practice.
Developing and instilling a culture of continuous improvement, proactively looking for more effective ways of working.
Coaching and developing your team, supporting them to ensure they're all equipped to work to the best of their ability.
About You
Prior experience of working in a Technical or Quality leadership role in a chilled / high care food manufacturing environment
Demonstrable experience and knowledge of retailer codes of practice, with experience of working with M&S being an advantage
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and working to drive standards
Strong leadership skills, able to coach and develop teams
Highly organised, able to manage and prioritise a busy workload to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop good working relationships with colleagues at all levels
