Our client, a leader in providing high-quality, ambient products is in urgent need of a Technical Manager. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing outstanding standards of food quality and safety.



Position Overview



The Technical Manager will pioneer the technical department, ensuring our client's consistent adherence to food safety standards and legal requirements. The role involves responsibility for quality-related customer interactions, leading external audits, and risk assessments, and managing various process changes and implementation of regulatory compliance.



Responsibilities




  • Strengthening GMP standards and ensuring comprehensive compliance

  • Leading the Technical Department towards improved performance

  • Conducting food safety-based risk assessments

  • Controlling product standards through rigorous checks

  • Overseeing incident and crisis management procedures

  • Implementing new product introductions and recipe amendments



Requirements




  • Extensive experience managing a high performing technical team.

  • Possession of Food Hygiene Level 4 or equivalent qualification

  • Diploma/Degree or higher in a Food Science-related subject

  • Experience in technical food manufacturing and leading a strong team.
