Our client is a forward-thinking company committed to delivering high-quality products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety. As they continue to expand and innovate, they are seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Manager to join the team and drive excellence across the site.
Role Overview: As the Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a broad range of areas across the site. You will be directly responsible for leading the Technical department, with Quality and Hygiene teams reporting into you. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of site technical objectives, implement your strategy and contribute to the senior leadership team's strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Technical department, ensuring high food safety standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Oversee all audits, both internal and external, and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on audit findings.
* Manage customer relationships and ensure effective communication and collaboration to meet their requirements.
* Drive the implementation of BRC and HACCP standards, ensuring adherence throughout the organisation.
* Utilize your expertise in chilled and high-risk products to enhance processes and mitigate risks.
* Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the technical team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar level role within the food industry.
* Strong understanding of BRC and HACCP standards.
* Previous experience working with retailers is essential.
* Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and innovation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.
