About the role The role reports into the Chief Operating Officer and in this position you will be responsible for ensuring that the delivery of EV charging infrastructure is designed, installed and programme managed to the correct specifications to deliver excellent customer satisfaction.MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages/responsible for design, delivery, commissioning, reporting all and any key issues and considerations, that might have a negative impact to the build schedule, to the Leadership TeamDevelops close working relationship with build partners and suppliers to ensure a smooth delivery which is both on time and to budgetDevelops close working relationship with LA and other stakeholders to ensuring all necessary approvals are in place to allow works to commenceSupport the wider team and be the go-to person for all technical knowledge of installing EV charge pointsSupport strategic & commercial evaluation of various products and projects in terms of identifying the right technical performance & compatibility with Believ’s offeringsFeed any requested/agreed information to the PMO Team within the agreed timeframeDelivery of all required project metrics/reports to the required standards and in a timely fashionSupport the project from a Heath & Safety prospect, ensuring the project is being delivered safely and in line will all and any regulations set out by the HSEProject managing end-to-end delivery of client’s charging requirements including design, hardware, installation, software and maintenance, delivering right first time, on time and at the agreed costSupporting the Chief Operating Officer and the wider team with comprehensive technical guidanceWork seamlessly with individuals across all teams to understand the latest updates on all activities within the design, planning and build/installation phases. The successful candidate will have the following attributes and skills: Proven experience as a Technical Manager in the UK, ideally within a similar sized business or one that has been through a similar journeyExperience ofdelivering quality projects and programmes at pace, utilising innovation and continuous improvementKnowledge of working in the public highwaysExperience with working with local DNOsKnowledge of ‘The Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation’ (IET)Extensive experience in the installation, maintenance and/or design of both HV and LV electrical installations, ideally this included EV charging equipment experienceProficient in using software packages including and not limited to AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble (but also able to carry out calculations long hand) Experience of document control/managementExperience in delivering a programmes/plans using supply chain.Qualifications and EducationSSSTS/SSMTS holder (ideally)Must be fully conversant with BS7671 (Latest edition)Ideally be able to be our NICEIC Qualifying supervisorCity & Guilds 2382 18th edition 2nd amendmentCity & Guilds 2391 or EquivalentHold relevant electrical engineering qualifications (apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 etc.)A higher qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Systems Engineering (ideally)Certified electrical engineer NICEIC or equivalent (ideally)Full Driving Licence.Competitive basic salary33 days annual leave, including 8 Bank Holiday daysAccess to wellbeing and mental health benefits such as the Calm app, personal medical insurance, critical illness cover and dental insurancePension contributionAccess to our car benefit schemeAccess to our online learning platform to continue to develop and grow your career with us.LocationThe business is currently based in our offices in Southwark.
