Technical Operations Manager

We are interested in speaking to a skilled operations manager with a background within the renewable energy sector.

Duties

• Optimize plant operations for maximum electrical production and cost efficiency.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve department objectives.


• Provide technical expertise for scheduling, production, and cost forecasting.


• Manage supply chains and negotiate contracts for efficient technical solutions.


• Ensure efficient equipment maintenance, addressing engineering challenges as needed.


• Evaluate and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness.


• Oversee staff development, stock control, and compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Tasks:

• Develop and maintain operational procedures, manuals, and stock control systems.


• Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance schedules with Operations.


• Monitor and audit equipment performance, recommending improvements.


• Manage scoping/costing of technical solutions and engineering jobs.


• Administer purchase orders, control operating costs, and analyze the supply market.


• Implement HSQE systems and commit to continuous training.

Candidate Profile:

Knowledge/Experience:

• Extensive experience in power generation plant operation and maintenance.


• Formal qualification in mechanical or electrical skills.


• Proven supervision and management of multiskilled teams.


• Expertise in managing technical supply contracts and negotiations.


• Experience with a variety of equipment, including Solar and Energy Storage Facilities.


• Holds a full UK license and Passport.
