Technical Manager in Pontypool

The Company The business has developed a blend of innovative techniques with traditional methods to produce their high end unique product range supplying a broad customer base. Overview: THE POSITION Reporting to the Director, as the most senior technical presence on site, you will take day to day responsibility for all technical issues:
Provide vital liaison to customers as the main point of contact for all technical issues including audits Liaise closely with operations to overcome challenges, proactively trouble shooting problem areas Manage and develop the technical / quality function Provide technical advice to production Monitor and report on compliance issues Take responsibility for food safety issues Oversee QA technicians
THE PERSON The role will require the post holder to have had experience in leading a team by example and enforce procedures.
Food Science degree or equivalent Experience of managing customer and supplier relationships
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to drive through efficiencies Comfortable working autonomously Ability to meet tight deadlines Food Safety Level 3 HACCP Level 3
