Freedom are currently recruiting a Technical Manager / Assessing Officer to be accountable for all aspects of their Services Division High-Voltage electrical procedures and associated processes. The Technical Manager will be directly responsible for ensuring documents are adequately maintained and developed to assure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice.The successful candidate will be a Chartered Electrical Engineer with experience as an Assessing Officer and Senior Authorised Person within a DNO / NGET
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
The overall compliance, and High Voltage operational practices within the NG Bailey Freedom Group
Implement Services Division electricity safety management system.
Accountable for the application of the High Voltage Electrical Safety rules and associated Approved Procedures
Undertake the Designated Engineer duty as identified under the NG Bailey Freedom Group High Voltage Electrical Safety rules
Ensure that all electrical risk assessments and method statements are adequately reviewed and updated, to remain compliant with all necessary legislation
Accountable for NERS compliance and lead on representing company with all audits
Lead on all incident investigation associated with electricity
Chair and lead the Electrical Critical Risk Group for competencies
Chair and lead the Electrical Governance Board
What we’re looking for
:
The successful candidate will have held a previous operational role within a DNO / NGET as an Assessing Officer and Senior Authorised Person. In addition;
Chartered Electrical Engineer
Excellent understanding of end user DNO and private client power/maintenance requirements
NEBOSH Level Safety accreditation
