Denholm are delighted to be working in partnership with an exciting sports based start-up in Edinburgh, who are continuing to grow their development team by bringing in an a Lead Software Engineer due to their recent success!Our client are a community led company, who put fan engagement with their favourite sporting clubs at the heart of what they do. They work with teams across football, rugby, ice hockey, basketball, netball and more to provide a full end-to-end fan engagement platform.The client are still in their early stages but have recently hit milestones which has allowed for further growth. It's a great time to join as you'll be part of a small development team, where you can make your stamp on an exciting product, where autonomy in the work is encouraged, they have a very social working environment and the culture focusses on promoting positive customer experiences!This role is crucial to their scaling plans and brings a big opportunity for someone who wants to naturally progress into an engineering management role in a successful, scaling start up.As a Lead software engineer, your responsibilities will include:Developing their user-facing web apps to build their platformGetting hands-on through the entire devops lifecycle from from the initial idea to the design, delivery, deployment and supportWorking with customers to understand their needs and turn into technical requirementsContributing to strategic decisions around the future direction of the platform and the execution of their product roadmap.Leading key technical projects while taking more junior members of the team with you.Skills:5+ years industry experience working as part of a software development teamStrong knowledge of C# .NET (open to other OOL)A solid understanding of database developmentAn obsession with getting the right solution with the time and resources availablePrevious experience in a Lead/Principle Development role.Experience working in a collaborative development team and using version controlWilling to take ownership of problemsA desire to get involved and contribute to all aspects the start-up experienceAble to join them 2+ days a week in our Edinburgh officeNice to haves:BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related fieldBroader experience in the Microsoft stack including Blazor, SQL Server, DevOps and AzureAn example of a cool side hustle or project you can talk aboutFor this, you'll also receive 25 days annual leave, plus the Scottish bank holidays and your birthday off, share options a dedicated monthly social budget and more.If you'd like to hear more, please send across your application via apply button or reach out via LinkedIn - @Callum Beveridge.**Denholm are a neuro inclusive employer and encourage applicants to share any adjustments they may need during the recruitment process; please contact Callum Beveridge via 07745524519 or
