The instructor will lead a home automation class to certify technicians in programming home automation systems. The instructor will also partner with subject matter experts to develop and present in-person and online classes. As part of this process, the instructor will write effective learning objectives, compose scripts, record and edit video and audio, and create assessments. The Technical Trainer should be comfortable speaking to large groups and have outstanding communication skills. This position should have a passion working with technology and be able to demonstrate a very strong technical aptitude.Specific ResponsibilitiesContent delivery:Present instructor-led training that displays best-in-class design, presentation, and engagement skillsTravel to teach classes at trade shows, special events, and Snap One Partner storesInstructional DesignDevelop classes for special events and trade showsCreate and/or reviseexisting webinars, online courses, and microlearning videosEvaluate and provide feedback on courses to drive improvementsProfessional developmentContinually work to increase knowledge of both industry technology and best practices in educationDevelop hands-on experience with Snap One solutions by performing maintenance and upgrades to education Centers and experience centersGain product familiarity and drive improvement through installation and beta testing of Snap One productsAttend weekly meetings and/or site visits with various teams to increase technical knowledge and skillsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education or a related field, or equivalent experience3+ Years’ experience in technical training, content development, or a related fieldProven ability to manage the entire lifecycle of multiple projects simultaneouslySelf-motivation to meet delivery deadlines and continuously increase productivityAbility to createeffectivevisual aids, with a keen eye for visual designAbility to travel up to 25%Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field Curriculum development work experience, using a well-defined instructional design system (e.g. ADDIE or SAM) Experience with eLearning development software (Storyline 360, Camtasia, etc.) Demonstrated experience designing and developing training materials and content for instructor-led courses, blended learning, and/or e-learning Snap One is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
