Job DescriptionThis is a unique opportunity for a Technical Director to join one of the UK's most interesting food manufacturing companies. As the Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing technical operations across a number of food manufacturing sites.RoleAs part of the senior leadership team, the Technical Director has a diverse range of responsibilities including:Developing and implementing a comprehensive technical strategy to drive food safety and quality with a focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of the supply chain.Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of technical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications, maintaining the highest levels of food safety and quality.Champion and drive the implementation of new technologies, processes, and best practices to optimise operational performance and meet evolving customer demands.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including innovation, production, supply chain, and commercial, to support product development, launch, and lifecycle management.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to anticipate and address potential challenges and opportunities. PersonThe successful candidate will be a self-starter, someone who has experience of senior technical management within the food industry and has the gravitas to operate in a senior role within a dynamic business. Key requirements include:Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and experience with relevant certifications.Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and driving operational excellence.Excellent understanding of food manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and supply chain management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, delivering tangible results.
