Technical Director or Principal Ecologist
Location – Inverness, Highlands, Scotland - Be remote with occasional travel
Salary up to £70,000 depending on level and experience

Take an active role in the delivering the business plan objectives of development and expansion.
The Role
Manage projects (budgets/cashflow) and teams, taking technical ownership of deliverables
Be the technical lead of the 30+ ecology team
Predominantly a desk based role with the occasional out and about
Big wind farm projects, ecology and ornithology chapters
Configure reporting lines
Lead on the technical aspects
Represent, lead and develop the existing ecology team.
Business development strategies
Statutory authorities’ liaison

Essential Attributes
8+ years within an ecological or environmental consultancy, with a proven track record of technical delivery, mentoring and team leadership, and business development.
Full or Associate Member of CIEEM
Commercial and project management skills
Able to work hybrid / remote in one of the multiple office locations across Scotland
A passion for nature and a commitment to collaboration
A degree in a relevant environmental discipline
The willingness to work as part of a high performing and collaborative team
