Are you the looking to join one of the most

housebuilders
in the
West Midlands . This forward-thinking company is looking to add to its established Technical department with the addition of an
Assistant Technical Coordinator
within it's office located in
Birmingham.
Working closely with the
Technical Manager
you will be given a platform to understand the role within the house building sector.
As a
Technical Coordinato r you will be responsible for establishing all Private and Adoptable infrastructure that connects a new development, from roads to sewers and all the utilities you expect from a modern, functional dwelling, our engineers are a vital part of ensuring each home meets and exceeds our customers’ expectations whilst ensuring best value to the business unit.
Your role will involve procuring, coordinating, managing and reviewing the development of Engineering drawings, technical reports, utility designs and site constraints to enable any given residential development to be built as intended. As well as working with the wider teams to ensure designs are understood, cost effective and accurately implemented.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate technical information and liaise with the design team.
Work with site teams to resolve day to day issues that arise from live projects to ensure they run smoothly.
Comfortable using engineering related software like AutoCAD and Civil3D and Micro drainage
Assess development layouts and house type working drawings to ensure they meet company expectations.
Identify and address issues that derive from design.
Issue drawings and manage document control.
Produce development specific energy performance and MEP specifications alongside external consultants.
Provide support to other internal departments, including Land, Construction, Commercial & Sales.
Familiarise yourself with current building regulations and any new/upcoming changes that effect design.
Provide value engineering solutions that give cost savings to any given project.
Manage utility (Gas, Electric, Water & Fibre) applications and coordinate plans in line with development layouts.
Liaise with building control/warranty providers to discharge any relevant conditions.
Assist Sales with customer queries and producing Sales information.
Assist with invoicing and cost management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in private practice producing detailed engineering designs and details alongside experience in a similar role (Desirable)
Hold and appropriate engineering degree of BSC / BENG
Use of online drawing management systems such as Viewpoint
Experience working in a house building environment (Desirable)
Good level of IT literacy, including Outlook, Office & AutoCAD (Desirable)
Driving Licence (Essential)
CSCS Card (Desirable)
Project management experience
Package:
£40,000 - £50,000 Basic (depending on experience)
